Wales National Golf Course
Opened as recently as 2003, the Wales National has played host to European Challenge Tour and Seniors Tour events as well as Wales Open, measuring 7,433 yards from the Championship tees, this is a monster!
One of the longest courses outside of America, designer Peter Johnson has drawn inspiration from the US to create a course that creates a challenge to the modern day golfer and modern golf technology, yet blends superbly into the countryside landscape.
The course requires length and accuracy in equal measure with a mixture of wide and narrow fairways, water and sand hazards and the undulating USGA specification greens provides a real test with the putter.
The Wales National provides a challenging round of golf at the superb Vale Resort.
